Fender, Baby

My first “real” guitar amp was a Fender Super Reverb. It was loud as hell, weighed a ton, and I didn’t really know what I was doing with it. Nonetheless, I did my first paid gig with it, and it has a place in my heart. Since that amp, I have never owned or used a Fender. Until now. This little beauty is a Fender Blues Junior IV. 15 watts, single channel, 12″ speaker, and onboard reverb. It also has a foot switchable mid boost, which is perfect for soloing, and it has rekindled my love for Fender amps. It has a range of gorgeous tones and works extremely well with my pedal board. I haven’t got it to roar yet, but with the right distortion pedal, I reckon it could melt the odd face or two.

Not part of my live rig, but I’m going to find somewhere to use these tones – they’re too good not to share!
