Blue On Black are playing a show at the famed Leopold Hotel in Perth on the 23rd of August after working in a new live set of original songs and classic blues rock covers. Some of the cover songs are tunes I’ve wanted to play for a long time, while the rest are great tunes to jam on while the crowd sing along. The original songs are rehearsed in and ready to go, and we’ve started to promo the gig on the Blue On Black Facebook page.
I’ll be using a handful of guitars for this show, since we have songs in standard and open G tuning, with a few seven-string numbers and Rainmaker, for which I employ the GG6FG set up for slide. The amp I’m using is the Mesa/Boogie RectoVerb25 and 212 cabinet. I’ve been pulling some awesome tones in rehearsal, and am looking forward to cranking it on stage!
