GG Live 2008
Graham Greene & The Happy Sinners live at the Newport Hotel

As well as his work on Resonance Project, Graham has found time to get "out with the boys" to perform his instrumentals. He has recently done gigs at Perth's Amplifier Bar and Newport Hotel (above).

Resonance Project Developments

Background (The story so far)
Resonance Project was formed in late 2007 as the brain child of  Graham Greene and his wife, vocalist Donna Greene to perform at a special concert held at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam in January 2008. The lineup of the band - Graham, Donna, second guitarist Saxon Smith, bassist Jim Awram and drummer Tommy Ions - had been together for two years as Graham's solo band Graham Greene & The Happy Sinners, playing the instrumentals and vocal tracks from his solo albums. Wanting to offer a purely vocal repertoire for the Vietnam concert, Graham and Donna decided that a band unit was more desirable than appearing under just one person’s name. They had just released Donna’s first solo CD, Resonance (Spirit Of Man), which was a collection of the four vocal tracks from Graham’s CDs plus the title track, and so the band name was chosen as Resonance Project.

Live at My Dinh National Stadium. Hanoi
Live at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi - Jan.10th, 2008

Dateline: March 2008
The success of the January concert in Hanoi has inspired a new focus on the band that was formed to perform at the show. While the lineup of the band is the same as Graham Greene & The Happy Sinners when they perform the vocal tracks from Graham's albums, the identity of the new unit is unique. The songs take centre stage for the majority of the time, along with vocalist/songwriter Donna Greene. Graham and Donna have started writing new material for a projected Resonance Project album to be recorded this year, and live shows are planned.

The Songs
Four of the tracks from Donna's CD - Fire In Your Liberty, Home, Walk On Water and Resonance (Spirit Of Man) - have been joined by two new songs recently written by Graham and Donna; Kings & Queens and Rise And Fall. A demo version of Kings & Queens is on the RP MySpace page player, and both songs are being added to the live set and album track list. More songs are currently being written.

RP On YouTube
