Resonance (Spirit Of Man)
- Donna Greene
|
GH:GF Success for GG Band
The inaugural Guitar
Heroes:Guitar Fest drew to a close on the 7th of October (Graham's
birthday) with a blistering set from Graham and his band at
the Bridge Hotel, leaving no doubt that the West Aussie
guitarist had stamped his mark on the east coast. During a
hectic weekend, Graham played a special guest performance with
Steve Flack's Guitar Heroes Band on Friday 5th and a double-bill with Sydney's own legendary
Kahvas Jute (featuring Dennis Wilson and Bob Daisley) on
the 6th,
where Graham, Donna G, Saxon Smith, James Pool and
Jewels Conti wowed audiences with
a full-on set that included instrumentals, vocal tracks from Leap Of Face
and Resonance, and a selection of covers that left punters screaming
for more. The Sunday gig was a repeat performance for the Graham Greene Band
after the Australian Guitar Magazine Best Guitarist
Competition, for which Graham participated as a judge.
In the aftermath of the tour, talks are already underway for a return tour to the east in 2008,
and West Australian gigs are being booked for the remainder of 2007. Gig
photos from the tour are on the GG Website in Photos & Art.

Resonance Released in
WA and Online
Making its debut at Guitar Heroes:Guitar Fest was the first solo CD from
Donna Greene, titled Resonance (Spirit Of Man) - a collection
of five songs (co-written with Graham) gathered from Leap Of Face and
Club Voodoo with the exception
of the title track, which was written by Donna and Graham in 2007 and dedicated to the Stop
Child Executions Campaign. The CD is available in Perth at 78 Records,
Ormsby Guitars, Mills Records and Fremantle CD Library, and online at CD
Baby. To hear some of the tracks from Resonance, visit Donna's
MySpace page or the

GG Drum Media Interview
Just prior
to his festival appearances, Graham was
interviewed by Drum Media Sydney writer
Michael Smith. The two later performed together with
Steve Flack's Guitar Heroes (Mike being the regular Guitar Heroes bassist) at the
Bridge Hotel in Rozelle on Oct. 5th, where they proved to be a
formidable combination. The full story can be read on the
Press/Reviews page of the Graham Greene Website. |
