Graham Greene grew up in the rugged Australian outback, and spent his youth amid the red dirt and Spinifex grass of the Kimberley region of Western Australia. When he moved to the city of Perth as a teenager, Rock and Roll was waiting... Since 1982, Graham Greene has been one of Western Australia's - if not Australia's - foremost exponents of full-tilt melodic rock guitar, his amazing technique, musicality and performance skills driving his bands Flash Harry and Ice Tiger to the top of the local WA music scene. Having honed his talents as a writer and live performer through thousands of gigs across the country over the years, Graham is a seasoned musician with an innovative and fresh approach to guitar, while retaining his roots in traditional and classic rock and roll. Graham's music and live show is flash, melodic and exciting, blending instrumental theatrics with stunning vocal tracks featuring Graham's wife, co-writer and lead vocalist Donna Greene. The guitarist's mastery of technique, melody and feel is evident from the first note, and his skill as a composer takes the audience on a journey through rock solid grooves laced with soaring guitar wizardry. A handful of classic rock covers sometimes grace the end of a live set when the band, fronted by Donna, kick back and party out with the crowd. Graham's other musical outlet is Resonance Project, the band he put together with Donna to tour to Vietnam in January 2008. The band serves as a focal point for the vocal tracks written by Graham and Donna, with Graham's instrumentals scattered through the live set. In October 2008, Graham
won the Best Rock Instrumental Artist category at the inaugural Star Music
Awards held in Hollywood. 2009 saw he and Donna working on Icarus, the new CD from Jac Dalton,
due for release in 2010. |
